INTRODUCTION TO
INVEST IN PETERHEAD

Invest in Peterhead is a working group of stakeholders with an interest in sharing the opportunities of this great town.  We aim to capture the opportunities, identify gaps and promote available properties, making investment in Peterhead a logical choice.

They add huge value to the economy and are complemented by large employers in a range of sectors such as engineering, marine, energy, textiles, food and drink. Our business base includes manufacturers such as Score Group, Survitec, Maritime Developments, Baker Hughes, Equinor, Thistle Seafoods and Harley of Scotland to name a few.  Home to the country’s largest white fish and pelagic port with new a state-of-the-art fish market Peterhead Port Authority (PPA)  offer facilities and services for the fisheries, oil and gas, renewables and leisure sectors.

Leisure, tourism, arts and culture are growing sectors in the town. Peterhead is home to the award winning Peterhead Prison Museum, Peterhead Town Trail, Arbuthnot museum, Peterhead Theatre and there is an active programme to stimulate and enable the development of cultural activities, promote, support and sustain our cultural identity and celebrate our cultural heritage.

There is a renewed energy for the development of enterprise and commercial opportunities in Peterhead town centre which are about not only changing the perception of the town and its retail heart, but also seeing it as a hub for wider economic opportunities in Aberdeenshire. There are a number of recent developments which point to this vision and ambition being turned into reality.

Confidence is evident in the commercial sector with over £25 million of inward investment from chains such as Aldi, Travelodge, BrewDog and good quality independents such as Brew Toon, Lettuce Eat Healthy and Carriages, all recognising the potential in Peterhead with their investment in business premises.
